Interpreting Franz Kafka's 'The Vulture' as themes of greed and exploitation, futility, complacency, consequence, and the afterlife.  Black, red and gold were used to create a grim atmosphere and reflect the tragic yet beautiful nature of the story. The background was left white to bring stark contrast and add to the bleakness of the scenes.​​​​​​​
